My yoga journey began in June 2016 when my girlfriend suggested I attend a hot yoga class because "it will do wonders for you, yoga is amazing." From that first class and the first time being on a mat, I was hooked. I craved yoga mentally and physically. I could feel and see the difference my practice had brought into my life.
Fast forward to 2020, finally admitting to my chronic hand and wrist pain, I had surgery on both hands and made the decision, with the support of my family, to leave my job of 29 years and pursue my passion for yoga. In October 2020 I completed my 200hr YTT certification though Cheryl Oliver's Authentic Yoga program in Scottsdale, AZ. Along with my Yoga Nidra certification through the Amrit Institute, I am certified in kids yoga out of LA, California. I continue to further my education and my personal practice.
I have learned from my mentors and instructors that yoga is not about how physical or flexible your body is, it's about how flexible your mind is. It is a mindful and wellness practice in life, every day. Yoga and Meditation are beneficial to all. Understanding the connection between breath, body and mind provides us with inner peace and calmness on and off our mats.
I look forward to meeting you on your mat and sharing the love I have of yoga and meditation with everyone. Whether it's your first class or your 100th class, I want you leaving with the "feel good" feeling and a sense of fulfillment.
My husband and I have been together for 30 years and we have two handsome sons. Our oldest is attending NAU in Flagstaff and our youngest is a senior at Casteel High School. We moved from California to make Arizona our home 15 years ago.
